Symptoms

When OPI'ing certain DCS files into composite PostScript, Prinergy will re-composite the DCS into composite data.

Cause

Solution

The benefits of having Prinergy composite the DCS when OPI'ing into a composite page is that you have the benefits of a composite workflow(for example, trapping and color-matching are possible).

.

DCS (raster files only) + OPI rules for Prinergy 1.1:

.

- Prinergy OPI will work with separated PS + DCS 1.0.

- Prinergy OPI will work with composite PS + Photoshop DCS 1.0 (it will recomposite the DCS 1.0 file into a composite image).

- Prinergy OPI will work with separated PS + DCS 2.0.

.

Additional DCS (raster files only) + OPI rules for Prinergy 2.0.5:

.

- Prinergy OPI will work with composite PS + Photoshop-generated DCS 2.0 (with a limit of 8 total colors, Photoshop ONLY)

.

Additional DCS (raster files only) + OPI rules for Prinergy 2.0.7:

.

- Prinergy OPI has been expanded to work with other raster DCS formats into composite PS. It will work with Renaissance , Copydot Toolkit, Autologic, DCSMaker, EskoScan/MonoScan, LinoColor, PCC (screened format only), ProImage, and Photoshop-compatible.

.

NOTE: Prinergy (all versions) does not support DCS 1.0 with JPEG compression. It will merge the preview image instead of the high-resolution image.
