Symptoms |
Sometimes when you do a composite proof (color or grayscale), some of the elements are missing. For example, you have a folding carton where some of the dieline and some of the black text are missing on a HP 2500 proof. |

||
Cause |
The problem arises from the printing order of the colors and the fact that some of the colors are opaque. Basically, if an opaque color (usually a spot color) is printed after another color, any elements in the previous color that existed are covered up (and obscured) by the opaque ink. This is the correct and expected behaviour of the Prinergy system. | |

Solution |
Change the print order of the page using the Color Mapping features/dialog of Prinergy. You should move the opaque colors to be early in the print order. Permanent fix: |
