Symptoms |
Overprint conversion damages composite copydot pages |
Cause |
Any overprint modification specified in the process plan will be applied to a composite copydot file. . This problem may be made worse by Prinergy 2.1.0.9, which will attempt to re-composite copydot DCS's when Normalizing. It does this to aid the handling of incorrectly-tiled copydot pages that cannot process through the Normalizer. It also aids soft-proofing of the pages. |

Solution |
This problem can be avoided in one of two ways: 1. Turn off overprint modification for composite copydot pages. 2. Activate the Copydot JTP step of the process plan. The Copydot JTP will "mark" copydot content so that the overprint settings will not be changed for those pages. Permanent fix: |
