Symptoms |
Copydot data in file gets downsampled to 300 dpi from 2400 or 2540 dpi. |
Cause |
The Eskofot images are composite 1-bit, pixel-interleaved, CMYK colorspace images. Unfortunately the Optimizer, if you enable Resample for Color Images, actually converts the 1-bit images into 8-bit images (at 300 dpi by default). Consequently, by the time the Copydot JTP sees the image it has already been converted and is ignored as a contone image. | |

Solution |
Use a separated Eskofot format if it is available. This would be much more efficient in any case. If you are using composite Eskofot format, you should create a special process plan with Resample DISABLED for Color Images on the Optimizer settings. Permanent fix: |
