Error |
RIP Error: Failed to find automatic Harmony calibration curve matching criteria: Medium = 900 (Kodak IR) |
Symptoms |
Harmony asks for cal sets for screens that shouldn't exist in the job. It seems to find the staccato curve it needs, but then fails asking for dozens of curves it shouldn't need (106 and 100 lpi). |

Cause |
The refined .pdf file has a default halftone for one of the Graphics States (the halftone "HT" for graphics state 1 is "Default"). This just means to use "the halftone that was in effect at the start of the page". In Prinergy, we always set up a default halftone in a startup postscript file. This is never really meant to be used, but we have to set it for some reason at Extreme startup time (this probably goes away when using the new PJTP, but we'll have to fix this). We set this value to 106 lpi. The 100 lpi is coming from the process plan. I'm not really sure why. Again, it's probably related to the default halftone again. This time not from the startup .ps, but from the process plan. It's all quite strange, and it think much of it had to do with working around problems with Extreme (it's all stuff that William setup years ago). |
