Error |
Various - depends on settings |
Symptoms |
You may get settings/results that you did not expect. For example, a different paper stock than what you requested gets sent to the Veris server and errors out because the paper is not loaded. |
Cause |
When editing a process plan in order to switch between different Veris proofers/servers, most users start at the top (Layout section in process plan) and work their way down to the Device section. The problem is that any changes to the default settings get lost in the layout section because when you select a new Veris server, the layout settings get set back to their defaults because we cannot assume that the new server will support the same options as the old server (oir example, custom templates). | |

Solution |
Change the Veris server name in the Device tab first and then work your way back up to Layout. That way, any changes to the Layout section will not be overridden back to their defaults. Permanent fix: |
