Symptoms |
Images that were originally EPS that have Photoshop-embedded ICC profiles look different than in 2.2. |
Cause |
In Prinergy 2.2, we would convert ICC profiles in EPS images from Photoshop into a PostScript CSA profile. This profile would then get automatically applied if you had ColorConvert turned on. This was true for fat and thin PS. In Prinergy 2.3 if you use OPI and have "Apply Embedded ICC Profiles" turned off (default), the CSA profile would not be retained or generated. For fat PS, it still works fine. | |

Solution |
The generated PostScript CSA profile is very very similar to the original ICC profile from Photoshop so the workaround for EPS images and OPI is to simply turn on "Apply Embedded ICC Profiles". This will give you a result that is very close colorimetrically to what you got in Prinergy 2.2. Permanent fix: |
