Symptoms |
"Reload the Automation Proxy" error message in Prinergy Workshop |
Cause |
This error message occurs when the client (Prinergy Workshop) cannot connect to the Automation engine on the server. There could be several reasons why this may happen. | |
Solution |
Things to check for: 1. Is WebServerApp.exe running on the server? 2. Is AutomationApp.exe running on the server? 3. Is there a version mismatch between Workshop and the server? This will result in a non-intuitive error: (407)Proxy Authentication Required. 4. Is there a firewall between the Workshop client and the server? If so, make sure that TCP port 61234 and 61235 is open and listening. Try the following commands in a DOS window. D:\>netstat -a | findstr 6123 The result should be: TCP ctp:61234 ctp:0 LISTENING TCP ctp:61235 ctp:0 LISTENING 5. Are they using an HTTP proxy? If so, don't use one and see what happens. For Mac users only: 1. Try adding the IP address of the Prinergy server into the "'Bypass proxy settings for these hosts & domains" list in Mac OS X and restart the Mac. 2. Run MacOS Disk Utility (Applications -> Utilities folder) and click "Repair disk permissions". Permanent fix: |
