Can't add files from Unix on PC Workshop client

Product

  Prinergy 1.1

Platform

Operating system

Error

error 1007004 = Could not find a particular network file share

Symptoms

Unable to add files from Unix on a PC Workshop client. Workshop gives an error message saying that it couldn't find a particular network file share.

Cause

Most likely the cause is that the otherhosts file has been configured incorrectly. If you have any entries in the otherhosts file, then you must list ALL Unix sharenames.

This is a known problem. The otherhosts file should not affect PC client access to Unix.

Solution

If your site has any Mac clients, add ALL Unix volumes that are to be accessed from Prinergy Mac or PC clients into the otherhosts file. The otherhosts file is located in %ARAXIHOME%\creoaraxi\etc and contains instructions on how to add entries.

You need to restart Prinergy after changing this file.
