Symptoms |
When attempting to use the Separations viewer on a PDF page, you get the following error message: Before you view PDF pages with S2C Plateview, you must first have used PDF Seps2Comp version 1.5 to compose the separated PDF. |

Cause |
The customer probably has both Prinergy Separations viewer and S2C Plateview plug-ins installed in the Acrobat folder. Both have identical icons and are easily mistaken. S2C Plateview is a reduced-functionality version of the Prinergy Separations viewer optionally available as a bundle with Seps2Comp. The main restriction is that it only works with PDF files that have been combined with Seps2Comp. |

Solution |
Click on Prinergy Separations viewer instead of S2C Plateview. To avoid future problems, recommend that customers do not have both S2C Plateview and Prinergy Separations Viewer installed on the same machine; they should only have Prinergy Separations Viewer installed. Permanent fix: |
