Error |
Client Auto Updater (CAU) fails to update a Mac client's Workshop when the server's name is unavailable in Chooser (i.e. you can only mount the ClientAutoUpdate share with the server's IP address.) |
Symptoms |
Error message [1088074] Mount the share: ClientAutoUpdate on SERVERNAME |
Cause |
When all standard network configuration is correct, sometimes the server name is still unavailable from a Mac client's Chooser. This state is difficult to reproduce and no cause is known at this time. | |
Solution |
1st reboot the server. If Client Auto Updater still fails, the Workshop Update Wizard (located in the same ClientAutoUpdate folder) will succeed in updating the client's Workshop even when the server name is not available. Permanent fix: |
