Symptoms |
Workshop doesn't work properly when connected via PCAnywhere: This affects most Workshop windows: the initial login screen, tippies, drop-down menus etc. Specific problems: 1. Can't easily use the Server drop-down menu to select "other..." 2. Text entered into the other menu doesn't get displayed. 3. Jobs don't get highlighted in Job Finder. |

Solution |
A few alternatives: 1. Use Terminal Services Client. 2. With PCAnywhere, to force a screen to refresh, select the Workshop window and move it around. 3. A more permanent (and intrusive) solution is to: Insert the following as a single line into a batch file in the bin directory in your Workshop install. Alternatively the batch file itself can be downloaded from the See Also section, below. A shortcut with the appropriate contents can also be created. ..\java\JRE\1.3.1\bin\java.exe -mx256m -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -cp ..\java\workshop.jar;..\java\ClientResources.jar;..\java\ServerResources.jar;..\java\WorkshopOEM.jar;..\java\MRJToolkitStubs.zip com.creo.araxi.UWSP.UWSP_PrePressWorkshop Permanent fix: |
