Symptoms

When more than 536 blank pages are in the run list, Preps 4.0.2 fails. The failure is not elegant. In some cases just Preps will fail, or the Mac will give a Type 3 error. Most often, the Mac freezes and needs to be rebooted.

Cause

Solution

Reduce the number of pages in the run list and create multiple page sets in Prinergy. This does result in the signature list numbers being duplicated and this workaround may not be suitable for all.

Upgrade to Preps 4.0.4.
