Symptoms |
The customer want to use inches as the unit of measurement for variable marks on imposed output, but can only get points. |
Cause |
Settings in the process plan determine the unit of measurement used by the Marks JTP. For a loose page proof, the measurement unit should be set in the process plan. The very last line of the layout section has an option For Variable Marks. Unfortunately, this is not available as an option for imposed proofs. For the Marks JTP, the default setting is in points. The Marks JTP supposedly wipes out all settings in the Preps JT. The Workshop settings have no effect as they are only for the GUI. | |

Solution |
There is no workaround at this time. The problem must be fixed by Heidelberg, as they control the Process Plan Editor. Permanent fix: |
