Error |
Import versioning imposition fails with a postscript error as follows: Normalize<serverpoolname>:normalizing: Error for the file <marksfilename.ps>: %%[ Error: invalidfileaccess; OffendingCommand: deletefile ]%%. The normalizer jtp error is: <servername> PTaskD.XCON_Callback TAKS_JobSub.cpp(1370): Normalize3OnChicken:normalizing: Normalizer server: PostScript error. |
Symptoms |
Import version imposition fails with a normalizer error when marks files refined using a Normalizer pool. Import version imposition does not fail when not using a normalizer pool. Importing the single imposition does not fail |
Cause |
The postscript marks file contains a complex mark and there is an access violation between the multiple normalizers in the pool as the marks file is being imported multiple times. | |
Solution |
1. Use distiller to convert the postscript mark file to pdf and then import version imposition using the pdf marks file. This way normalizer does not process the marks file. OR 2. DO NOT use a normalizer pool when importing version impositions when you import the job ticket and postscript marks file. OR 3. Recreate the mark or use a different mark. Solution 1 is the preferred workaround. Permanent fix: |
