Error

Symptoms

When using Database Reports, your username and password are not accepted. The Enter Password window continues to re-appear every time you enter a username and password.

Or when using Database Reports to export the report, once you select the Export Options to set the export format, the enter Password window continues to re-appear everytime you enter a username and password.

Cause

The Crystal Report login dialog box is not accepting the username/ and password.

There are two ways to output the Database Crystal Reports:

1. Print Preview (and then print)

2. Export

If you try to Export after setting the Export Option, you can get into a loop where your database user password is not accepted.

Solution

To export a report, do the Print Preview first.

1. If you get the infinite login box, click Cancel.

2. Select Start > Programs > Prinergy > Database Reports > Report you want to see.

3. Perform the Print Preview.

4. Perform the Export.

To export the report and select the Export Options.

NOTE : The first time you select the Export Options, the enter Password window continues to re-appear every time you enter a username and password.

1. Select Start > Programs > Prinergy > Database Reports > Report you want to see.

2. Select the Export Options and then close the report window.

3. Select Start > Programs > Prinergy > Database Reports > Report you want to see.

4. Perform the Print Preview.

5. Perform the Export.

- This will save the file to the format you want.

Note: Everytime you want to change the export options, you need to set the options type and re-run the report.
