Error |
Symptoms |
There are requests to disable pop-up warning on some servers, particularly renderstations, when a replication error occurs. |
Cause |
The replication monitor (%ProgramFiles%\VERITAS Storage Replicator\Creo\Prinergy-Database\MonitorVSR.cmd) reads the server list to be notified from the Primary server nodelist registry value. When a replication error is detected, the first 10 servers listed will get a pop-up dialog box with the message that there is an error in the replication status. | |
Solution |
Modify MonitorVSR.cmd as follows: 1. Replace the section labeled "::Sets up nodelist" with the following (don't include the "----".). ------------ ::Sets up nodelist
:: The default list of servers to notify are the first ten nodes listed in the registry value :: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\Settings\Default\System\nodelist :: If it is required to customize the list, uncomment the next line and type therein the list of servers to be notified. :: set nodelist=<type in the server names to be notified> && goto :listNodes :: e.g. nodelist=Primary FailoverServer Secondary1 && goto listNodes
for /F "skip=4 tokens=2*" %%b in ('reg.exe query HKLM\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\Settings\Default\System /v nodelist') do set nodelist=%%c for /F "delims=; tokens=1-10" %%f in ("%nodelist%") do set nodelist=%%f %%g %%h %%i %%j %%k %%l %%m %%n %%o
:listNodes echo. echo Alerts will be sent to the following servers: echo. echo %nodelist%
wait 120 ----------------- 2. Modify the nodelist as described in the commented lines above. This will allow targeting specific servers to display the pop-up warning. Permanent fix: |
