When trying to purge a job, some files fail to purge, even those files that had been archived. The files that were having problems purging had an invalid date such as 1902, 1942, 1992, etc. Error message: W 09Jun00 14:23:06.281 [573.474] EUROPRIM ARAXI PArchRetJTP.Medium Archive Thread: 474 AJTP_MediumArchive.cpp(360): Last modified time of file \\EUROPRIM\AraxiVolume_EUROPRIM_G\Jobs\EQUITATION_NL_29_30_31_C5867\UserDefinedFolders\HiRes\EQ30-06-SCHEMA C out of range. Solution |
Change the file date by resaving it in Photoshop, or using the touch.exe utility.
For example, in the job 'EQUITATION_NL_29_30_31_C5867' all of the files that are failing to purge have a date of 1992 or 1940, while the date SHOULD be 1999. Directory of I:\Jobs\EQUITATION_NL_29_30_31_C5867\UserDefinedFolders\HiRes 10/02/92 05:22p 16,419,958 EQ29-08-01 09/15/92 09:36p 20,172,400 EQ30-01-06 09/15/92 09:47p 15,850,238 EQ30-03-02 09/16/92 03:42p 15,588,890 EQ30-04-02 09/15/92 09:52p 19,983,670 EQ30-05-03 09/15/92 05:23p 5,244,798 EQ30-06-SCHEMA A 09/15/92 05:24p 6,020,498 EQ30-06-SCHEMA B 09/15/92 05:24p 5,858,306 EQ30-06-SCHEMA C 09/15/92 06:12p 19,692,518 EQ30-08-04 09/15/92 09:12p 3,734,508 EQ30-10-02 03/04/40 06:41p 136,274 USA?Missouri 144 File(s) 981,244,790 bytes 80,727,752,704 bytes free To use the touch.exe utility to fix the dates in this example: 1) Open a command prompt on the Primary server. 2) Type > d: 3) Type > touch /t 1999 June 20 10 10 10 G:\Jobs\EQUITATION_NL_29_30_31_C5867\UserDefinedFolders\HiRes\EQ29-08-01 4) Repeat step 3 for each of the 11 files listed above. This will change the dates of these files to 'June 20, 1999 10:10:10 AM' Note: Try not to use slashes in file names. You may need to pass this on to your clients. On a Mac the slash may look fine (for example, USA/Missouri) but in DOS it will look like this 'USA?Missouri'. This could potentially cause problems down the road. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
