Symptoms |
Archiver picks a tape whose freespace is listed as 0 in the Archiver Medium Capacity report. |
Cause |
The freespace capacity rounds up to 0.00 (2 decimal points), so even if it shows 0 in the Archiver Medium Capacity report, there may be some freespace left in the database table. | |
Solution |
If the customer doesn't want to have Archiver use a tape with very low freespace, they can create an additional media pool and move all the tapes with freespace 0 to the new media pool. This way, Archiver can continue to archive onto existing pools and will ignore these tapes. Archiver will set the tape to complete if the freespace is less than 2.5% of the tape capacity.
