Error

Symptoms		Archiving took very long time to archive a job. In the job details process dock, it created the new process, jok ticket submitted for processing, and the job ticket active at service Archive and then it just sitting there to wait for a very long time until it figured out which tape to archive. In Task Manager, the svchost.exe is consuming very high in CPU.

Cause		There are too many tapes registered in RSM and in the database. We have seen this problem at one customer site has 140 tapes.

Solution		In Prinergy 2.0, we can use the attached "Complete Medium" utility to complete tape has freespace closes to 0. This way it will improve the time to create the archive task. Note: We are in progress of testing a new Archiver JTP that will improve the performance and may come out with patch 24. In Prinergy 2.1, we can complete medium using Media Manager. Permanent fix:
