Symptoms |
Workshop running on a Pentium 4 (P4) processor fails with a runtime error. |
Cause |
The dll responsible for identifying the processor (symcjit.dll) does not recognize the P4 as supporting SSE. Any version of symcjit.dll older than 3.10.107 will exhibit this problem. |
Solution |
Perform a search for the symcjit.dll file and remove the file. If the file is missing, the Java JIT (just-in-time) compiler will not attempt to compile the Java code. The application may run marginally slower as a result. Permanent fix: |
