Symptoms |
When saving a large file from Adobe Illustrator directly to a hot folder, Illustrator returns a message that it can't save the file because the file is not found. In Prinergy, a file named something like AI Temp 0000xxxx appears and begins refining. |

||
Cause |
When saving, Illustrator first creates 2 Temp files in the destination folder. If the file is large, the temp file stays around long enough for the hot folder to act upon it and the hot folder moves the file to the "Processed" folder. Illustrator can't find the file so the save is aborted. |

Solution |
Save large files to a different location first, and then move them into the hot folder using the Finder or Windows Explorer. Permanent fix: |
