Symptoms |
PANTONE color is added to the per-job database and PDF is Refined with colorconvert ON, but the color still shows "unknown color definition" in the Color Mappings dialog box. |
Cause |
The PANTONE color that was added to the color database had the extension CV, and "Auto Resolve spot color naming conflicts" was checked in the Process Plan. This option changes the name of all PANTONE colors with the CV extension so that they have a C extension. This happens even if there are no naming conflicts. Since the color with the C extension was not added to the color database, the color names do not match and Prinergy cannot determine the color definition. |

Solution |
There are two possible solutions to this problem: 1. Uncheck "Auto Resolve Spot Color Naming Conflicts" in the ColorConvert section of the process plan. OR 2. Add a PANTONE color with a C extension to the color database. Permanent fix: |
