Error |
PDF may have been trapped with a unknown trapper application. Unknown traps should be removed before trapping in Prinergy, and the document trap status flag should be updated. |
Symptoms |
Trapping with the Trap JTP fails when the "Retrap trapped pages" option is ON in the Trapping Process plan. |
Cause |
The PDF page has its Trapped flag set to YES and does not contain Creo or Heidelberg generated traps. This was probably set by a 3rd party trapping application. In order to re-trap trapped pages, the original traps must first be removed. But if the traps were not originally created by Prinergy they cannot be removed by Prinergy, so the request fails. |

Solution |
There are two possible solutions to this problem: 1. Turn off the "Retrap trapped pages" option in the Process plan. 2. If the trapped flag was set to YES by accident or the pages really don't contain traps, open the PDF in Acrobat and turn off the trap flag in the "Document Properties" dialog box. Select File>Document Properties>Advanced. Permanent fix: |
