Symptoms |
The Output configuration wizard always assumes coexistence of Allegro RIP. The output configuration wizard creates and modifies user accounts and modifies login scripts and batch files. There has not been any reported problems associated with this configuration, but extra precaution can be taken to delete the unused accounts and login scripts. |

Solution |
Delete the following files and accounts if you're not switching between the Plateworks and Allegro RIPs. -- CTPOpertor account -- Logon script file: %SystemRoot%\system32\repl\import\scripts\ctpop.bat -- Batch files: <Platesetter Directory>\bin\startctp.bat <Platesetter Directory>\bin\strtsite.bat -- Workstation 1.7 Shortcut: This is typically in %SystemRoot%\profiles\all users\start menu\programs\creo workstation\workstation 1.7 Note: In 2.0, the wizard checks to see if Allegro is installed on a system before updating the startCTP.bat file. However, the workaround for this problem is still valid; if the system is never going to be used as a dual boot machine (toggling between Allegro and Prinergy), the CTPOperator account and all its associated batch/script files such as ctpop.bat, and startctp.bat shortcuts should be romoved. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
