Symptoms |
When refining multiple files, the files are grouped and assigned to only one signature even with Treat Input Files as Flats enabled. The signature takes only one of the filenames. |
Cause |
When Treat Input Files as flats is enabled, each input file should create one signature with one surface. The signature name should be the same as the input file name. Task and subtask grouping was introduced in 2.0.7.10 to improve performance. This update causes the following side effect when using auto flat refining. The problem when refining multiple files at once, either through hot folders or from Workshop, is that the files are grouped together into one subtask and are therefore assigned to one signature. The signature takes only one of the filenames. |

Solution |
A. If using hotfolder input as in Prinergy Direct systems, set Group Size to 1 in the hotfolder settings in Prinergy Administrator. B. If using Workshop, refine one file at a time using an auto flat refining process plan. C. Install Prinergy 2.0.7.14. To update a Prinergy system, Request Support Online. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
