Error

JTP used by an active process has disconnected from the coordinator

Symptoms

When outputting a plate, the PrintConsole JTP would crash intermittently.

Re-outputting the plate is okay.

Cause

  Unknown.

Solution

Though the cause is unknown, there seem to be several factors that might cause this issue.

.

A) In Print Console, change the units to millimeters and round off the decimals.

For example:

Dimensions - along 56 31/32 inches, 23.0 inches around converts to 1447.006 mm x 584.200 mm, enter 1447 mm x 584 mm in Print Console.

If the customer is averse to this option, you might be able to change the imagable area on the plate by a very small amount using the Media Margins in Print Console (under the Service menu in Print Console.)

.

B) There was a case noted recently where sluggish network share for the CIP3 PPF file destination was causing this behavior. Changing the CIP3 destination to a local drive or a more reliable network share seemed to alleviate the problem.

.

C) There was also a case where reghosting and reinstalling Prinergy on the renderstation seemed to alleviate the problem.

.

D) There was also a case where it was confirmed that double spaces in the Harmony curve name (example, "My Curve") would cause an access violation. Changing the curve name to a single space (example, "My Curve") would work around the problem.
