Solution |
Dual calibration uses the existing PPED UI to control a new feature that uses different calibration curves for a Back surface than a front surface. This feature should have no effect on the system's behavior, unless a NEW registry key SCRN\DualCalibrationMode is manually altered from the default of 0 (OFF) to 1 (ON). If dual calibration mode is ON, and the surface being output is a back surface, and the curve requested is %%AUTO%%, then the first Harmony query will search for a Spot calibration curve using the normal parameters for media, resolution, screen system, spot shape, and ruling, but with the word "Back" appended to the colorant name, e.g. CyanBack. If that search fails, but there is a CMYK or One color curve that matches all but the color name, then that curve will be used. In any case, the history will reflect which curve is actually used.
