Symptoms |
if you start to work with a job with Carriage Return <CR> character in name, hotfolders and archiving will behave strangely. |
Cause |
If you copy-and-paste the name of a new job from a text file into Prinergy Workshop's “Create new job window, sometimes (by mistake) you may also copy the CR (Carriage Return or “Enter) character into the “Create new job window field. If the job home is on a Unix volume, Workshop will not report an error and the job is created successfully on the Unix volume. | |

Solution |
Avoid including the Carriage Return <CR> character when creating jobs on Unix volumes. Permanent fix: |
