Symptoms

For fresh installs and re-hosts of Prinergy 2.2 (2.0.4 to 2.2) on a multi-server system, you might encounter the following error:

When starting Print Console JTP on a renderstation, Prinergy reports "Dongle ID not accessible. Please exit this program". Print Console JTP does not start up.

This is not an issue for sites updating to 2.2 without a re-host (2.1 to 2.2).

Solution

To work around this issue, in the registry of the renderstation, change

hklm\software\creo\araxi\settings\default\licd\cidfontlicensing\ExtremeSerialNumber = 0

.

This will be fixed in 2.2.1.5.
