Symptoms

When opening a Process Plan from a MAC client, the workshop hangs for 2 minutes before opening the process plan correctly. This only happens from the MAC.

When you open the process plan, the File Daemon ( PFileD.exe ) crashes on the server. The diag\event log show the file daemon crashed with the following error

Assertion failure - Expression: sk != iPFIL_NTShareKind

Program: D:\Prinergy\CreoAraxi\bin\PFileD.exe

File: iPFIL_FileServer.cpp

Line: 208

File: iPFIL_FileServer.cpp, Line: 208.

Internal software error: E 22May02 07:52:57.984 [2640.4552] YCS233-122

ARAXI PFileD.TranslateLocation4552 iPFIL_FileServer.cpp(208): :

assertion failed: (sk != iPFIL_NTShareKind) at line 208 in file iPFIL_FileServer.cpp

Cause

  The path for the ICC-Profile in the process plan is not a valid UNC path.

For example, the process plan says :

(monitor/HDPP sRGB Profile.icm)

instead of:

\\ycs233-122\AraxiHome\CreoAraxi\Data\ICC-Profiles\monitor\HDPP sRGB Profile.icm

Solution

Go to a PC client and change all process plans to have a valid UNC path for the ICC-Profile
