Error |
The error 'Message from Extreme: JTP boot failed: Sequencer could not initialize its scratch directory' appears in the diagnostics log. |
Symptoms |
UADM shows the Output JTP with the status of 'Starting' but it never switches to 'Ready'. PPlatingE.exe or PProofingE.exe (depending upon output JTP type) will not show up in Task Manager. |
Cause |
The Temp folder used by the JTPs does not exist. This could occur if the Datalog (E:) drive has been replaced and the temp folder was not created. The temp folder used by Prinergy is defined by the System environment variable TEMP, which is typically set to E:\Temp. | |
Solution |
Manually create the Temp folder. Check the folder path of the system environment variable TEMP by opening Control Panel | System. In the Environment tab, scroll down the list in the 'System Variables' list box until the Temp variable is shown. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
