Solution |
Follow these steps to restore the database from the last database backup set: 1) Stop the Oracle services - OracleStartCreo and OracleServiceCreo. 2) Back up the existing database files In Prinergy 1.1, these files are: - D:\Orant\Oracle\*, - E:\Orant\Oracle\*, - G:\Orant\Oracle\* (or the Orant folder on the RAID). In Prinergy 2.0, these files are: - E:\Orant\Oracle\* - G:\Orant\Oracle\* (or the Orant folder on the RAID). Back up the files to disk, either onto the E: drive or RAID. 3) Add the parameter "sort_area_size = 1000000" to the \Ora816\Database\initCreo.ora file. 4) Restart the Oracle services. 5) Open a command prompt window and start OracleBackupManager: D:\> OracleBackupManager 6) In OracleBackupManager, start the database restore: Araxi_OracleMgr> RESTORE 7) If the restore is successful, you should see: Recovery completed Successfully. ... Startup complete 8) Stop the Oracle Services. 9) Delete or comment out the "sort_area_size = 1000000" in the \Ora816\Database\initCreo.ora file. 10) Start the Oracle Services. Permanent fix: |
