Symptoms |
When backing up the database using OracleBackupManager, the message: Tue Oct 31 12:39:53 2000 Backup completed Successfully. Tue Oct 31 12:39:53 2000 Error: exceptions.TypeError, loop over non-sequence, <traceback object at 858540> appears in the OracleBackupManager window as well as in OracleBackupLogFile.log. The database backup will stop after that error message. |

Cause |
The ArchivedLogFiles folder is missing. Typically, the ArchivedLogFiles folder is created in the E:\Orant\Oracle folder. The location of the archived log files is defined in the D:\Orant\Database\initcreo.ora file for Prinergy 1.1 and in the D:\Ora816\Database\initcreo.ora file for Prinergy 2.0. | |
Solution |
Create the folder path for the archived log files using the path specified by the parameter LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST in the file initcreo.ora: 1) Open the file D:\Orant\Database\initcreo.ora (or D:\Ora816\Database\initcreo.ora in Prinergy 2.0). 2) Note the value of the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST parameter. This is the location for the archived log files. 3) Create the folder path as noted above. (Typically the folder name is E:\Orant\Oracle\ArchivedLogFiles.) Permanent fix: |
