Symptoms

In Prinergy 2.0.6, the system backup of the primary server may fail when the script checks the NTBackup log file during the backup confirmation step (see following).

.....

If you run AraxiBackup.cmd from the command line, you may see this:

NTBackupLog: Parsing NTBackup log file: D:\Prinergy2.0.4\CreoAraxi\system\log\backup\NTBackup\ROANO-P_NTBackup.log

NTBackupLog: Number of start/end messages expected: 4

NTBackupLog: Number of msgs found: 3

Cause

The backup script is checking each backup set. For the primary server, the script backs up:

- SystemState

- D: drive

- E:\OracleBackup (or the database dump folder)

- E:\PrinergyUpdates

The two E: drive folders are backed up in one set by NTBackup. The backup script takes this into account, but if the drive letters are a mixture of uppercase and lowercase characters, the script will see them as different drives.

Solution

The drive letters shared out should all use the same case (uppercase).

1. In a Command Prompt window, run: NET SHARE.

2. Look for the AraxiTemp_SERVER_E share.

3. If it shows lowercase e:\ drive, change it to uppercase E:\ by removing and re-adding the share.

To remove and re-add the share, run:

1. NET SHARE /D AraxiTemp_SERVER_E

2. NET SHARE AraxiTemp_SERVER_E=E:\ /REMARK "Prinergy TEMP data - mount this drive"

(use uppercase E)

Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0
