Error

Symptoms

You are attempting to create a Harmony calibration curve for an output device. You have a job which contains a spot color, and you've mapped the spot color during the second refine.

Whenever you output the job, the calibration of the spot color is wrong.

The diagnostics log says the spot color calibration curve is being applied, but it really isn't.

Cause

The spot color name is case sensitive.

The spot color name in the per-job color database/global color database and in the Harmony database must match the name in hte PDF file exactly.

Solution

To find the spot color name, do a Get Info on the pdf file in Workshop's Job Manager window.

The process and spot color names will appear next to the heading Page Colors.

Enter the spot color name exactly as shown in the per-job or global color database and, if you've entered the spot color name in the Harmony calibration curve, make sure it matches as well.

If you wish to use the same Harmony curve for all spot colors, enter the word Default for the spot color name in the Calibration Curve Properties dialog box.
