Symptoms |
The IP address of the server has been changed then minor update 2.1.0.10 is installed. The installation of 2.1.0.10 fails with the error below. |

Cause |
The HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\imr and HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\orb\oa registry keys contain values which reference the IP address of the server. If the IP address has changed, but CheckNetworkConfig has not been run, the registry keys will not be updated with the new IP address. CheckNetworkConfig runs during the startup of Prinergy and will update the Orbacus registry with the new IP address if necessary. | |

Solution |
Before installing 2.1.0.10, run %AraxiHome%\CreoAraxi\Bin\CheckNetworkConfig.cmd in a command prompt window. CheckNetworkConfig will update the IP address in the registry to match the machine's IP address. NOTE: If the server is multi-homed, and the IP address for the network card which connects to the other Prinergy servers is changed, you will have to manually update the HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\imr and HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\orb\oa registry keys. To manually update the keys with the new IP address: 1) Start Regedt32 2) Update the following values in HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\imr: - admin_endpoint (REG_SZ) - forward_endpoint (REG_SZ) - slave_endpoint (REG_SZ) 3) Update the following value in HKLM\Software\OOC\Properties\ooc\orb\oa: - end_point (REG_SZ) Permanent fix: |
