Symptoms |
On secondaries or renderstations running Prinergy 2.2.1.3 or 2.2.1.4, Prinergy Administrator will report "Failed to retrieve Dongle Security Code. The Dongle is missing or is invalid. Please check that an authorized Dongle is properly connected to this server." and "Dongle is Invalid! Please ensure an authorized Dongle is attached to this server." Prinergy Administrator will continue to run in spite of this message. |

Solution |
If you're REALLY concerned by this message, you can safely retrieve the UADM.exe from the patch restore directory and replace it on the secondaries/rendersation. ----- Note that there was an anecdotal report that this sort of error message can occur on startup if Prinergy Evo and Prinergy Connect are installed on the same machine. Evo uses a Sentinel USB driver, which blows away the Prinergy Connect parallel driver. Uninstalling the driver and re-installing the Connect driver (from the Client CD) allows the Connect system to start normally Permanent fix: |
