Could not find a particular network share [1007004]
Information:
If workshop is running on a Macintosh, there may be an AppleTalk configuration problem on the server ....
or
Could not find a particular network share [1007004] (when importing impositions)

Symptoms

Situations where the error may occur include the following:

• You attempt to open a PDF file in Prinergy Workshop on a Mac computer running OS X, but the error message appears. The correct share is mounted on the Mac.
• You attempt to import a Kodak Preps^® imposition from a Mac computer, but the error message appears.

Cause

The mounted share is listed in /Volumes as Jobs on...-1, or Jobs on...-2, and so on. The -1, -2 appended to the mounted volume name allows the share to be mounted multiple times.

When Prinergy attempts to access the file using the mounted volume without the number appended to the share name, it cannot find the share.

Solution

Stop Prinergy from appending numbers to mounted share volumes:

1. Unmount all AraxiVolume shares from the desktop.
   Important: You will lose data if you do not do this step first.
2. In Finder on the Mac desktop, select Go > Go To Folder and type /Volumes.

Note: You must open the /Volumes folder this way because it is normally an invisible folder.
3. Delete all AraxiVolume* folders.
4. Remount the job volume using the Connect to Server option.
5. Ensure that there is no number appended to the share name.
