28-Apr-2004 14:27:45 ERROR: Update Prinergy Update 2.2.1.5 c installation failed! ***

28-Apr-2004 14:27:45 ERROR: Cause: exceptions.NameError errmsg

Symptoms

Prinergy minor update 2.2.1.5c fails to install and reports the error shown below. The AraxiTemp share or the temp environment variables are on a FAT or FAT32 partition.

Cause

The minor update is attempting to create Mac resource forks for the Workshop files contained within the update and is failing because the files are being unzipped into the temp folder on a FAT or FAT32 partition.

Solution

There are two possible solutions.

1. Move the AraxiTemp and temp environment variables to an NTFS partition.

or

2. Convert the FAT or FAT32 partition to NTFS using the utility Convert.exe. (Convert.exe <drive:> /FS:NTFS)

WARNING: DO NOT CONVERT THE RECOVERY PARTITION TO NTFS! You will not be able to restore the system from a ghost image if the ghost image resides on an NTFS partition.

Permanent fix:
