Symptoms

The JTP is suffering from a memory leak or some other problem which requires a restart every now and then.

Cause

Solution

The JTP can be set up to auto-restart, which will reduce the likelyhood of the JTP from failing in the middle of a task.

To set the auto-restart count, change the registry value AutoRestartCount within the registry key for the JTP on the server where the JTP resides. The value used for AutoRestartCount represents the number of tasks that are executed by the JTP before it restarts. When the JTP restarts, it will continue processing the tasks left in the queue, thus none of the queued tasks will fail as a result of the restart.

To set up a JTP to auto-restart:

1. Start Regedt32 on the server the JTP is running on, or connect to the registry of that server remotely.

2. In Regedt32, browse to HKLM\Software\Creo\Araxi\Settings\Default.

3. Within the Default key, open the appropriate registry key for the JTP type. Below is a list of registry keys and JTP types.

4. In the registry key for the JTP type, open the key for the specific JTP that you wish to set up to auto-restart.

5. Set AutoRestartCount to the desired value.
