Platform

Operating system

Error

Pop-up box with: Unhandled exception: c0000096 at address: 00010100

LaunchAnywhere GUI dialog box with:

LaunchAnywhere GUI has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience..... Please tell Microsoft about this problem. .... To see what data this error report contains, click here.

Symptoms

While running the PrinergyWorkshopInstaller on a pc with a Pentium 4 processor, the installer suddenly crashes with an unhandled exception: c0000096 dialog box.

When you click OK to the dialog box, another LaunchAnywhere GUI dialog box appears asking if you wish to report the error to Microsoft. If you click on the "click here" link to see more details about the problem, the next LaunchAnywhere GUI dialog box shows the ModName of symcjit.dll.

Cause

The SYMCJIT.DLL does not recognize Pentium 4 processors as a valid processor type.

Solution

Search the system drive for any copies of the SYMCJIT.DLL and rename them to _SYMCJIT.DLL so the installer cannot find them. Re-run the workshop installer.
