Symptoms |
After upgrading to 3.0.2, it could not retrieve the old 2.x jobs back, error failed with "file is not archived", but the job has been archived onto tape and the actual archive set is on the tape. |

Cause |
The prinergy system is rehosted or the servername is renamed, PChangeJobShare was run to move the jobs on oldservername to newservername. The DBCD_Path table contains two sets of paths for essentially the same file. One path is on OldServerName, and the other is on NewServerName. |

Solution |
Workaround: Restore the job using NTbackup. To confirm the problem, ran the following script: Take the filename that it has problem to retrieve to check the path for the file. In the below example, I take the 19030.job, see error message. Query 1 SVRMGR> select RPAD(' ', 2*(LEVEL-1)) || pathcomponentname 2> from dbcs_path 3> start with pathid 4> in (select pathid 5> from dbcs_path 6> where pathcomponentname 7> like '19030.job') 8> connect by prior pathparentid = pathid; Result: RPAD('',2*(LEVEL-1))||PATHCOMPONENTNAME -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19030.job Imposition UserDefinedFolders CCP19030 - QANTAS CLUB 2PP Jobs AraxiVolume_YOWIE_H YOWIE 19030.job Imposition UserDefinedFolders CCP19030 - QANTAS CLUB 2PP Jobs AraxiVolume_KOALA_M KOALA 14 rows selected. SVRMGR> Query 2: SVRMGR> select dbcs_paths.GetPathLocationById(pathid) from dbcs_path where pathcomponentname like '19030.job'; RESULT: DBCS_PATHS.GETPATHLOCATIONBYID(PATHID) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \YOWIE\AraxiVolume_YOWIE_H\Jobs\CCP19030 - QANTAS CLUB 2PP\UserDefinedFolders\Im \KOALA\AraxiVolume_KOALA_M\Jobs\CCP19030 - QANTAS CLUB 2PP\UserDefinedFolders\Im 2 rows selected.
