Symptoms

A dual NIC system picks the wrong NIC when initializing Prinergy and points to the GMCE(Magnus VLF) IP address. You can change the values in the HKLM\Software\OOC key but when you restart, CheckNetworkConfig resets the values to the GMCE NIC.

Cause

CheckNetworkConfig.cmd should only replace the IP address in the OOC registry key if the one in the registry is not bound to any network card.

Solution

THIS SOLUTION IS FOR PRINERGY 3.0.3.0 SYSTEMS ONLY (The modified CheckNetworkConfig.cmd is for a Prinergy 3.0.3.0 system)

1. Select Network and dial up connections -> Advanced menu-> advanced settings

2. In the top box, ensure that the correct local area connection is on top (Prinergy) - use arrows on right side.

3. In the bottom box, ensure that under each of the selected protocols, internet protocol (TCPIP) is also on top.

Note: You may be disconnected when you click OK.

4. In the HKLM\Software\OOC registry key, set the IP addresses to the correct IPs for Prinergy.

5. In the %araxihome%\CreoAraxi\Bin folder, copy the CheckNetworkConfig.cmd to this folder, replacing the current copy, so the next restart will use the correct file.

6. Re-run CheckNetworkConfig at the command prompt to confirm that the proper network IPs are being used by Prinergy.
