Symptoms

Workshop instantly crashes if you select "Use Default Location" in the "Add A Smart Hot Folder" dialog box.

Workshop will crash if you browse to the default location of "Jobs\SmartHotFolders" and then click OK to the Add A Smart Hot Folder dialog box.

Workshop will crash if you attempt to create a smart hotfolder on a tertiary server.

The primary server has Services For Mac disabled.

Cause

Workshop is attempting to resolve the path of the smart hotfolder and is getting a null value for the Appletalk zone name.

This can occur if Appletalk and Services For Mac are disabled.

Solution

There are two solutions.

1) Log into workshop using the IP address of the server instead of the server name.

2) Change the Services For Mac service properties to start automatically and start the service. (Appletalk does not have to be running)
