Symptoms

Workshop crashes when you attempt to open the job manager window for a job that has layered PDF versioning. (LPV)

PJobD crashes with the error shown.

Cause

Solution

Upgrade to 3.1.0.5 or higher (if possible) and run the following SQL to delete the invalid layerids

1) Start SQLPLUS

- D:\> sqlplus prinergy/araxi@araxidbserver

2) Make a backup copy of the data we're going to delete

- SQL> create table dbcs_versionedspelayercopy as select * from dbcs_versionedspelayer where layeridbyjob < 0;

3) Delete the layerids

- SQL> delete from dbcs_versionedspelayer where layeridbyjob<0;

4) Commit the changes

- SQL> commit;

5) Exit SQLPLUS

- SQL> exit

If the system cannot be upgraded to 3.1.0.5 or higher, new jobs that use LPV can potentially run into this problem again.
