Pages/artworks are shifted, clipped, or missing on output in Prinergy 2.1.0.17 and later. For layouts created in Pandora, individual marks can be affected. Export.zip files that output correctly when imported into a 2.1.0.16 or earlier system can output incorrectly when imported into a Prinergy 2.1.0.17 or later system. |

Cause |
There is a problem with the RIP in Prinergy 2.1.0.17 and later with regards to pages or marks with negative MediaBox/TrimBox coordinates. Somehow these coordinates have been altered in the creation of PostScript, EPS, or PDF used as input for Prinergy. | |

Solution |
1. Place the incorrect PDF page/artwork into a layout application like QuarkXPress, and rewrite PostScript. Add and refine new PostScript in Prinergy. (It is advisable to use QuarkXPress 6 to write the new PostScript, as earlier versions of QuarkXPress may not recognize advanced PostScript operators contained in the original PDF page/artwork.) You may have to reset the Trim Box in Adobe Acrobat or in Workshop after refining. Assign the corrected page/artwork to the layout. If the PDF is to be used as a mark in Pandora, add it back into the Pandora application Marks folder, and replace the incorrect mark(s) in the original Pandora layout. Then export a new imposition job ticket for use in Prinergy. . 2. Open the incorrect PDF page/artwork/mark using Adobe Illustrator. Reset the 0,0 coordinates of the art to the bottom left-hand corner (double-click in the Ruler). Remove any un-needed objects in the file. Wireframe mode is the best to identify these. Create a box the exact size of the page, with no stroke and no fill, and align the bottom left corner of the box with the 0,0 point of the page. Send this object to the back. Save out of Illustrator as an EPS. Add and refine the new EPS in Prinergy. You may have to reset the Trim Box in Adobe Acrobat or in Workshop after refining. If the PDF is to be used as a mark in Pandora, add it back into the Pandora application Marks folder, and replace the incorrect mark(s) in the original Pandora layout. Then export a new imposition job ticket for use in Prinergy. . 3. Revert to Prinergy 2.1.0.16. Permanent fix: |
