Error |

Symptoms |
Artwork/page is selected and Loose Page Process Plan chosen. "Apply Color Output Changes" is checked and under "Mappings..." spot colors are selected and "Result" is changed to "Convert to Process". After output is created, spot color information is missing from CMYK channels. |
Cause |
Selecting "Convert to Process" under "Mappings..." does not invoke Creo Color Combiner to do conversion, it is done by Proofer CPSI in RIP. Operators such as SETOVERPRINT are not supported, and conversions to CMYK can be wrong. | |
Solution |
Always use an Output Process Plan which has "Render:Spot Color Handling" set to "Convert to Process". If it is desired to output individual spots, in addition to CMYK, you can select "Apply Color Output Changes:Mappings..." in the Output Dialogue Box and change any spot back to "Output (Separately)".
