Error

Symptoms

Your DCS images containing CMYK 0,0,0,0 areas are scaled between 40 and 50%. When you create the final output, very small dots of CMYK show up in areas that should have no CMYK. This can be in the form of dotted lines or an overall screen.

Cause

This problem is caused by Adobe Downsampler, which is invoked by PostScript input into the Normalizer.

Solution

In your Refine Process Plan, under Optimize, uncheck Resample of Images.

Your images will not be downsampled, and final output will not contain scum dot.
