When viewing an Archiver MTF tape in NTbackup, the size of the save-set first showed as "?" When double click the + sign to expand the job to get the directory and file, the size showed as 0kb, even it is not. When you view an NTbackup tape, the size shows up correctly. |

Solution |
No workaround. This happens because of the two differences between NTBackup and Archiver. First, NTBackup has its own disk catalogue which the archiver does not, second, the archiver's file names on tape are UNC format, NTBackup's are not. We've talked to Microsoft about this and they say it is an unimportant bug in NTBackup. Permanent fix: |
